The hotel lies close to Milano Marittima, that has been contending for many years with Costa Smeralda for supremacy in the jet set world and has become the main entertainment centre of the Adriatic Riviera: regularly visited by many football stars and models, Milano Marittima is now considered as the brightest gem of the Riviera and has hosted an inordinate amount of VIPs who have staged a series of "after-hours" and wild nights, enjoying life without restraint.
At the opening evening of the "Villa", the club that has replaced the more famous "Papeete", there were tens of VIPs, like Mascia, launched by the Italian "Big Brother", Fernanda Lessa, Samantha De Grenet, Antonella Mosetti, Valentina Pace, Cesare Cremonini, Alfonso Signorini, as well as the "heirs" of two famous football trainers: Davide Lippi, the son of Marcello, and Federica Sacchi, the daughter of Arrigo.

Even Arrigo is a habitué here: he often "calls up" some players for an aperitif at the "Cafè della Rotonda": Ferrari, Ambrosini and Coco are among them.
The club is also visited by other VIPs during the whole season: from Jamiroquai to Pippo Inzaghi, from Mark Juliano to Bobo Vieri.
Not to be missed in the most fashionable places are also the beauties of Lele Mora's team: they are everywhere, fishing for a famous football player, rumours say.
The most fashionable "after-hour" is that of the "Papeete Beach", the beach that has hosted Markus Schenkenberg, Mascia and the "Schedine" (showgirls) for a live telecast during "Quelli che... il calcio".
Its sunbeds have accommodated Big Brother contestants (Luca Argentero, soon to star in a calendar, has caused great sensation), pin-ups (Emanuela Folliero and Luisa Corna among the latest) and many, many idols of the Italian jet-set. An alternative to the customary holidays in Sardinia for VIPs, maybe less exclusive but more pleasure-seeking.
